Meet Rev. Nadine Ilunga

Pastor Nadine is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo. She feels blessed and honored to be the Pastor of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She holds a Master of Divinity (2016) from Drew Theological School in Madison, New Jersey. A Bachelor of Arts in Education (2009) from Africa University in Mutare, Zimbabwe.
Prior to coming to St. Luke UMC, she served the United Methodist Church in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Morrow Memorial UMC, Maplewood, New Jersey and First United Methodist Church in Tanzania (East Africa). She has also served the global church by leading mission groups to different parts of Africa, and also helping as a translator for the General Conference of the United Methodist Church (English-French) in 2016.
Her passion for ministry is to proclaim Christ to all God’s people, meet people in their context of life, celebrate with those who celebrate and cry with those who cry. When she’s not at church you’ll find her watching movies or shopping.
Pastor Nadine and her husband Gee have three children: Nathan, Erica, and Baraka.

Welcome to St. Luke United Methodist Church’s website.
I am glad you have chosen to spend a few moments looking around, meeting our church’s people and investigating our ministries. When I describe the church to others I use words like “community” and “servants”.
We are a group of people committed to Grow with God, Grow with others and Grow in service to the world. That means we worship God with joy. We encourage prayer in church and throughout life. That we gather together in small groups to support one another and we express love to people outside the church in tangible ways.
Our hope is that all people will feel loved and welcomed to St. Luke United Methodist Church. And once here, we pray that people will encounter the living Christ. We want that for you. Come as you are. Check us out, but more importantly, seek the One who sets people free.
While you are browsing our website, you will learn about our programs and get a glimpse of who we are, but only a glimpse. To fully get to know us, come visit us on a Sunday morning. I believe you will find an authentic group of followers who want you to be a part of our life together. Enjoy the website, then come. We’d love to meet you and to get to know you.

Grave and Peace,

Rev. Nadine Ilunga
